Masoud Assadolahi started his artistic career at a young age. He is a
graduate of the Tehran Dramatic Arts University and a member of Movie
Actors' Syndicate of America.
He is an actor, director and screen writer of many movies, TV series and
plays.
He was introduced to Theater while in high school. Then he met a group at
the "Etelaat" newspaper and "kakhe Javanan". He worked on the Irish
American writer's plays :"Eugene O'Neil". He went to work for the Dramatic
Arts Institute and worked with Ali Nasirian. At nineteen he had the chance
to go on stage with "Loretta Noushin" who had returned to Iran after her
exile in Russia, the play was called "Wedding The Italian Style".
He also acted in "Hokoomate Zamane Khan" at the "25 Shahrivar" theater.
He played the TV series "Payvand" directed by Nosrrat Karimi which made him
famous. Later he produced and wrote his own TV series :"Adam and Eve".
Masoud acted in movies such as "Doroshkechee", "Aramesh dar Hozoore
Deegaron" and "Dozd va Paseban".
He was the screen writer for over twelve Persian movies and made his first
movie: "Ali Konkoori". Masoud's career continued by producing
movies like "Hamsafar"and "Baba Khaldar" and made his hallmark by another
TV series 'Talagh" (Divorce) in thirteen episodes for which he was honored
with a Television Award for the best TV series in 1355.
Sohrab Shahid-Saless, the well known Persian movie producer, in an article regarding one
of Masoud's play: "Bye Bye Los Angeles", wrote: " the value of Masoud's works is that they are easy to comprehend
and he delivers the concepts in a way that everyone can see them as if you are gazing in the mirror ".
Masoud went to London to make a series called " The Report", which was put on hold due to the revolution.
He returned to Iran. With a false sense of freedom he made the movie
"Gharanteeneh" which faced problems and censorship a year later.
Masoud left Persia in 1984 with the hope of returning a year later, but he is still away from his country. He lived in Europe for 5 years and then USA where he is currently living for the past 15 years.
For the past several years he's been producing a variety of programs for the
Persian international broadcasting radio and TV stations in the US and is planning to
produce a film on the Middle East.
Masoud has produced and acted in many plays in the past 20 years away from home.

Today he is working on a new play : The Ring.
With no doubt Masoud is a true ICON in Persian theater, movies and TV series
with unique characteristics of his own.
